Reviews

Note: This review is preliminary, as we have obtained little information about this product thus far. Because a television commercial has appeared online for the product, we wanted to post a preliminary summary which we will update when more information becomes available.

Audion Micro is described as as revolutionary and discreet hearing system. The product is advertised to use “patented nano-wave technology that amplifies all the sound around you.”

Audion Micro fits in your ear like a larger old-school hearing aid. It can charged overnight via a USB adapter. The device features an on/off switch and volume control.

What we aren’t told is whether or not the product has any type of noise cancellation or reduction, as found in more expensive hearing aids. Another As Seen on TV product in recent years called the MSA 30X Sound Amplifier was advertised similarly, but was met with rather lukewarm reviews because it amplified everything, including background noise. While it had its place in some situations, some users found it to be difficult and unpleasant due to loud background static. The jury is still out if Audion Micro can overcome the problems which have plagued other inexpensive hearing devices.

Audion is not meant to be a substitute for a traditional hearing aid, although the advertising implies it could be used for that purpose, at least in some situations or as a backup device.

Included with the Audion Micro are three comfort tips, a cleaning brush, and charger.

We will continue to watch for updates on this product and adjust this page accordingly at that time.
