Easy Einstein Balloons Review

Easy Einstein Balloons are fast-fill balloons which allow you to fill and tie dozens of balloons at the same time. To use Easy Einstein Balloons, you simply screw the connector to a spigot and turn on the water. Twenty-five balloons will fill simultaneously, then drop off when properly filled – and will already be tied and ready to throw.

If the design looks familiar, you probably recall similar products which flooded the market in 2014 and 2015, such as Bunch O Balloons and Balloon Bonanza. A slew of no-name knockoffs later appeared online.

Those two products are often mentioned together because there was a lawsuit by Josh Malone, the inventor of Bunch O Balloons against As Seen on TV giant Telebrands for their product called Balloon Bonanza. Malone claimed that Telebrands copied his product that was launched on Kickstarter back in 2014. Even Bed Bath & Beyond was dragged into the fight. A temporary injunction was filed, and part of the initial patent was later invalidated in court in early 2017. In other words, it became a legal mess.

From the advertising, the website, and the phrase “freaky fast” that was also used in the Balloon Bonanza advertising, it would appear that Telebrands has re-branded Balloon Bonanza as Easy Einstein Balloons.

I’ve certainly spent my share of time testing these fast-fill balloon products. In the case of Telebrand’s original Balloon Bonanza, there was a drop in quality versus Bunch O Balloons. They didn’t fill as easily and they felt more cheaply made. With Easy Einstein Balloons, it looks like they went back to the drawing board in an attempt to implement some improvements, such as anti-leak technology, in order to keep the water in the balloons longer.

These fast-fill balloon products do work, but there is a technique involved in order to get them to drop at the right time. I would describe it as a flick of the wrist when you think the balloons are about a the right capacity. The problem with the presence of a learning curve is that these are one-time use items. That’s right, they are not refillable. Once you fill the balloons, you’ve exhausted the product. For that reason, I don’t think this is something that is ideal for all uses, but certainly a great way to spice up a birthday party or other event.

Easy Einstein Balloons are available at Bed Bath & Beyond for about $10 for a pack of four, and I suggest picking them up locally to avoid shipping costs and delays.

Alternatives

As noted above, Bunch O Balloons was the first of its kind, and in my opinion probably the highest quality of this type of product. You can find them for about $10 for 100 balloons, both online and in stores. You may also want to take a look at Water Wubble at your local Toys R Us, which are reusable and easy-to-fill water balloons.
