EZ Makeup Glasses Review

If you find putting on makeup to be problematic, EZ Makeup Glasses may be just the product for you. This uni-lens item allows you to illuminate and magnify one eye while applying makeup.

At first glance, EZ Makeup Glasses look like one of those strange items destined for the “worst of As Seen on TV” lists. Its bizarre one-lens design almost looks like a novelty pair of joke glasses.

It is, of course, not a joke item, and is meant to serve a useful purpose. Ez Makeup Glasses offers a single 3X lens that can be easily flipped to one side or the other. This allows you to easily see with one eye, while applying makeup to the other. The idea is to essentially wear glasses with one eye and not wear glasses with the other.

There may be something of a learning curve, and you may have to figure out how close or far away to stand from the mirror in order for the lens to provide a sharp view. It may be wise to look through a pair of 3.0 reading glasses to see if this magnification works for you. There will be those who will not find 3.00 to be strong enough.

The LED light is a nice addition, although it seems to be of limited value.

My wife has used an item very similar to this, and she reported that it took some getting used to, but that it worked pretty well. It seems better suited to mascara and using an eyelash brush, rather than applying makeup under the eye, where there is less wiggle room.

It will be interesting to see if this makes it out of the small marketing campaign in which it is currently engaged. I’m not sure if this type of item will have enough appeal to keep it around long term, but only time will tell.

Alternatives

As strange as EZ Makeup Glasses look, you may be surprised to find that several such items already exist. The Kikkerland Magnifying Flip Lens Makeup Glasses have the most reviews and cost about $8.

It appears to me that these type of glasses are designed wrong. They should be made reversed as in the main part should be above (the metal frame) and the glass flipping up. This would make it easier to put on liner since there would be no metal in the way and it would not hinder mascara. And if you think it would bother brow liner then think again as you do not even need to flip the lens to do your brows anyway. BTW Since it is obvious no one thought of this odds are a man invented it… Read more »
