The idea of a lash solution that can add thickness and length with a single stroke is something of a Holy Grail in the lash universe. Perhaps not surprisingly, the makers of Wunderextensions believe they have just the product to achieve this elusive result, and claim that it can be done in under 2 minutes.
Unlike many of the new products I cover here at Freakin’ Reviews, Wunderextensions are not new, so in addition to my own research, I have consumer opinions to rely on as well.
To use Wunderextensions, you simply apply to your eyelashes the same way you would any regular mascara. There is no secret or learning curve involved. The secret is in the formula, not in the application. There are two formulas in the tube, one for volumizing and one for length. Part of the tube is clear and you can see black and blue liquids inside, although it goes on black.
In short, Wunderextensions adds length and volume to lashes with a few strokes. Some women choose to go over each lash twice for a more dramatic effect, although this isn’t necessary. Another benefit is that this doesn’t contain flyaway fibers found in other lengthening mascaras. Women have reported that it lasts all day and doesn’t flake or clump, and that it is easy to remove at the end of the day.
At a cost of $20-$22, Wunderextensions is more costly than most mascaras, even if you were to purchase two different types to mimic the effects produced with this single product.
You may want to read some of the comments for Wunderextensions on Amazon, where it currently holds a 3.6 star rating. Reviews are mixed to positive there.
Overall, I think that anyone who picks up Wunderextensions will be happy with their purchase because it generally lives up to the hype of the advertising. The only real negative is the price, which is at the high end of the range for most mascaras. I’m guessing most consumers won’t mind the extra cost when they see the results, however.
This 3D Fiber Mascara holds very high ratings and sports a more modest $20 price tag. For the budget conscious, Maybelline’s “The Falsies Valum’ Express” only costs $6 and holds solid consumer reviews.
