Ever Light Review
If you’re reading this after seeing an ad for Ever Light, you were no doubt swayed by the convincing sales pitch for the product, perhaps for a good reason. The features of Ever Light are compelling, offering a flame-less lighter that doesn’t run out of butane, or even use butane for that matter.
Powered by four AAA batteries, Ever Light uses electricity to create a continuous spark. It is ideal for lighting candles, fires, or outdoor grills.
If you’re like me, and always seem to have an empty lighter around when you need one, this is something that could be quite a find. There’s nothing worse than wanting to fire up the grill, only to find your lighter empty. Now, with Ever Light, you only need to make sure you have fresh batteries on hand, which most people do.
It looks and operates like a standard lighter you can find at stores for well under $10, but those eventually run out of fuel and have to be replaced. With Ever Light, you simply need to replace the batteries on occasion, and your days of worrying about running out of fuel are over.
Perhaps the only concern I have is that the single arc sometimes took a while to light some objects, and was clogged easily when I used it on a candle. The unit itself is also not as long as lighters I usually use for my fireplace or grill, meaning my hand was closer to the heat while lighting those devices.
Overall, I think this should fit the bill and hold up to most of the advertising claims. I wouldn’t expect the highest level of construction, but for what it is, you’ll probably find it to be sufficient. I’m not sure that $30 for two is in line with other similar options (see below), but if you order this, I feel like you’ll probably be satisfied. I was happy to find it locally for only $15.
The intro in the commercial is impressive, proclaiming, “There has been an advancement in modern technology. For the first time in history, there is a lighter that is powered by electricity.” Although using electricity in a lighter could be seen as an advancement in modern technology, this product certainly isn’t the pioneer in that department. Electric lighters are actually becoming rather commonplace, especially online.
