Today I put two fun pizza-themed gadgets to the test: a pizza cutter shaped like a circular saw and the completely ridiculous (yet surprisingly functional) Pizza Pocket, a wearable pouch for your emergency slice. Let’s see if either one is actually useful, or just a novelty that ends up in The Boneyard.
Where to Purchase

Pizza Boss 3000
The Pizza Boss 3000 is a pizza cutter shaped like a circular saw, and I think they nailed the overall look. It runs about $20 and has over 6,000 reviews on Amazon. It doesn’t make any sounds (despite what a few misleading Amazon videos might suggest), but it does slice through pizza reasonably well.
Compared to my beloved Star Trek pizza cutter, it held its own. It’s not the most ergonomic tool I’ve used, but once I figured out the best way to hold it, I liked it a bit more. I felt like I had more leverage with this cutter than the average cutter, perhaps due to the way you hold it with your palm rather than just your fingers. It handled thin crust and thicker pizzas just fine. You do have to get your fingers close to the blade when disassembling it for cleaning, which isn’t ideal, but overall it cuts pizza, it looks cool, and it makes a solid gift for the pizza-loving handyman in your life.
Pizza Pocket
This one is certainly more of a gag gift, but I gave it a real-world test anyway. The Pizza Pocket is a wearable pouch that lets you carry a slice of pizza around your neck. Does it have any real function? Not really. Is it hilarious? Absolutely.
It fits a standard slice just fine and even kind of keeps it warm against your stomach (for better or worse). Walking with it makes it bounce quite a bit, so by the time you eat it, your slice has been fully tenderized by your torso. Cleanup might be a challenge since it’s not the easiest thing to wash, but if you’re looking for a ridiculous party gag or a conversation starter, this delivers.
Conclusion
Both gadgets work as advertised. The Pizza Boss 3000 is actually a decent pizza cutter, though not the best I’ve ever used. I’d say it’s a novelty item with some functionality. The Pizza Pocket is pure novelty, but in a fun, absurd way. If you’ve ever felt the need to keep a slice of pizza close to your heart (literally), this item is for you.
