HD Free TV Cost

HD Free TV costs $10 + $5.99 shipping. A second unit is included for another $5.99 shipping, bringing your total to $21.98 for two. As of this writing, it only appears to be available online. If you’ve seen HD Free TV in stores, please let us know in the comments below.

Keep in mind that the order screen asks how many sets you want to buy, so choose 1. Some people have mistakenly chosen “2” with the belief that this includes the second antenna. Choosing “2” will actually be a purchase of 4 antennas.

Reviews

After a long two-year run of advertising by Clear TV, we are seeing an influx of new HD television antennas advertised on television and online. Recent entrants include Free TV Key and HD Free TV.

The good news is that products such as HD Free TV do in fact deliver a superior signal to that of cable, which is compressed in order to save bandwidth as it is transferred to the consumer. Thus, watching a sporting event on a large HD television will more than likely look better when viewed via HD Free TV, provided the signal is strong and it is placed in an optimal position.

The bad news it that this is merely a television antenna, and will only pickup the small handful of channels which broadcast over the airwaves in your local area. You won’t get popular cable channels such as ESPN, FoxNews, or CNN.

Its $20 price tag for two isn’t unreasonable, although there are a number of competing products which can be found locally and cost about the same or less. It may be worth your time to visit your local As Seen on TV aisle or Radio Shack to see what else is readily available before shelling money out shipping costs. Some consumers have reported finding this product locally for under $10.

For some strange reason, this indoor antenna, which will NOT get cable or satellite channels, is being advertised continuously on a cable channel (that is, the antenna cannot get you the same channel it advertises on). It also begins its commercial with a background displaying the logos of more than a dozen channels which are exclusively cable or satellite, with the logos of the very few broadcast networks thrown in.
This antenna is, essentially, giving up your pay TV and going back to rabbit ears.

It’s not SUPPOSED to get cable or satellite you dumbass. The commercial makes it quite obvious that it is an ANTENNA not a majic device to steal from the cable/satallite companys.

You must work for the company, Marie. I live in the center of three large cities, and this crap antenna only offers 10 different channels, three of which are Public Broadcasting Channels, and over half of them are medium quality. It’s a shit device.

Those aren’t cable channels, they are network channels. Cable channels are the ones you pay for.

The station I saw this on is Laff tv. I don’t know if it isa satellite or cable channel but I am using an hdtv antenna now that I purchased from ROSS for 7.99 two years ago. I get 20 channels with this particular one. I am quite happy. I have a chromecast for my netflix, hulu and movies. I don’t pay 80.00 for cable ANYMORE!!! I see everything and more with my chromecast!!!

Do you have to have landline internet with the chromecast? I have a digital box with local channels available and havent paid a cable bill in years but would like to get netflix but I have been told you need the landline to get it.

You do not need a landline for chromecast. I got one for everybody’s tv. You do need to download the chromecast app onto your phone or tablet and then cast directly to your tv. You’ll love it and it’s very reasonably priced. Have fun!

When you say cast to your tv. I am assuming you have to have a smart tv?

You can get a cheap Sewell connection for about 25.00 use the normal change over for older style tv’s it will directly forward anything you wish to see including facebook etc. I would get a headphone jack/rca audio line so the volume is also on the tv.

Wrong. Chromcast operates over wifi so yes you need a landline and Internet access to use it. It does not pick up programming out of thin air. Marti Howard, how exactly did you think this thing was working?!

Chromcast operates off your wifi and gets programming from the Internet. It is not a TV antenna. And ROKU units are better.

I cancelled this order back in Nov…Nov 7 to be exact. Thought it was done and over with…they banged my account for products that were cancelled on 12/17/15. Not only do I find this irresponsible but also theft! If I do not get my money refunded by end of business 12/21/15 I am seeking legal counsel against this company! In addition to that, I am notifying all social media outlets and sending emails to all my contacts regarding the shoddy business practices they have!

Everyone seems to be overlooking the obvious….all channels are not broadcasted in HD. Only a small handful are broafcasted in 1080i..not 1080p. Most are 480i and 720p.

720p is considered HD along with 1080i and 1080p.

At $10 that should tell you it’s junk. Go to Walmart. They carry the Mohu Leaf TV antenna. It is a proven performer. I picked one up and it’s been the best TV antenna I’ve used. And no i don’t work for any of these companies.

Bought one set for $21.98 then they took 2 months to send item then charged my credit card an outstanding bill of 3X $21.98 non trusted place! Do not deal with buy elsewhere or get ripped off!!! False advertising on channels this picks up! RIP OFF 100%!

What do you morons expect? It’s an indoor antenna! It may have a range of 15 miles or so depending on obstacles between you and the transmitter. Even the best outdoor antennas only have a range of 50 miles or so… Yes, you can pick up the normal networks within your range and any of the channels such as Cozi, Me, CW, This, Antenna, etc that are under contract with your local transmitting network companies… You will NOT pick channels up off of a cable in the neighborhood or off of a satellite… Oh, btw, I might add, I do… Read more »

I actually spent money on this antenna and it turns out that in my hometown only 3 channels are picked up by this antenna. They come in very clearly but one is a regular broadcast and two might be available on Basic Cable but they both consist of replaying old old network TV shows. Hardly worth the effort.

It sounds like the thieves are whomever tampered with your mail. I’m not defending them but what were they supposed to do? Just send you a new one because you said it got stolen out of your mailbox or whatever? Could you imagine how that would work out for any company if people just started calling them up and telling them they never got what they ordered because someone took it out of their mailbox? Hahahahaha. Good grief.

BernardJSussman is correct. The commercial lists “channels which are exclusively cable or satellite” such as Cable News Network (CNN), an American basic cable and satellite television channel that is owned by the Turner Broadcasting System division of Time Warner, which is NOT broadcast over the air via antennas.
