Knot Out Reviews
Pet products are a popular choice for As Seen on TV advertisers, and often products appear more impressive than their eventual reality proves. Today we take a look at the Knot Out brush for dogs and cats. This special pet comb includes small cutting blades which allow you to safely and easily remove knots from pets.
Although it’s referred to as a “brush” it looks and feels more like a comb. You simply comb your pet’s hair until you hit a knot, then you press the button and small blades cut through the stuck area to remove the knot.
Early reviews for the product are primarily negative, but those are skewed by consumers who were placed in back-order as they purchased the product during its test marketing phase, which is a common complaint.
Those who have received it have given the product somewhat mixed reviews. It does appear to work in some instances, but not all knots are the same. Those knots which are very close to the skin may not be as easily removed as the commercial shows. If your pet has smaller knots which aren’t as close to the skin, this product may be a good fit for you.
If you’re on the fence, keep in mind that most As Seen on TV products hit store shelves within months of hitting the airwaves, so you could wait and pick it up locally. This will also help you to avoid shipping costs and delays.

Unfortunately this product is a bust. The batteries don’t give the blades enough energy to cut through anything. An as a comb, there are others much less expensive.. It “don’t work; don’t buy!”
This product is a rip off. It don’t work, blades won’t cut through anything. I would not recommend this piece of crap to anyone.
I didn’t read reviews before I ordered and WOW – I am amazed how this company can even put this on the market. It is a total scam. This would not even take loose hair off my cats, much less get the knots out. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. IT IS A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!
Hey barbara. I have a question. I ordered it before I looked at the reviews. My problem is there out of stock right now and said it would be march 3 before they ship. They’re have already charged my card for it. Even though they say they will not charge until it ships. Sorry did they charge you before they shipped is my question. Thanks in advance.
I really can’t remember whether they did or not because I got it quickly. But it does NOT work on cats. I still have to pay for the shipping so I would be out $11.97 even if they refund the $14.95. So it’s really to your benefit to contact them and tell them you do NOT want their product and refund ALL your money crank to your credit card.
Ok I appreciate you letting me know. Their trying to tell me my card was not charged but my bank said it was. If I cancel it im afraid they won’t refund money. They say I need to fax them a copy of something showing it was taking out of my bank. If I knew the trouble im having to deal with I never would have ordered.
Hello! I’ve worked in customer service for many years. Currently at Bestbuy. And, usually in this situation they hold onto your money. So it does look like it’s been charged because the money is being held by this company and can’t be used by you, but they haven’t actually removed it from your account. I’m sure you could call the bank and ask them to stop payment. Usually you can cancel if you call the companies 800 number and tell them you cant wait until March, it was a birthday present for someone and March will be too late. Something… Read more »
I agree I just bought it yesterday it wouldn’t work on my 2 cats soooooo disappointed
Does NOT Work, Ordered it on HSN and thank goodness they have a money back return. Trouble is I wasted $8.00 on batteries that I can’t return. Don’t waste your money. I figured coming from HSN it would work….Got it and packaged it up to return it back to HSN to get my money back the very same day…..
Didn’t work at all. Don’t waste your money
It’s useless! It turns off every time it hits a matt. I sent mine back. Keeps none of the promises it makes. Should be taken off the market. Too bad the company doesn’t back up its claims and sells a product that will only disappoint their customers. Don’t buy it.
I had to return the first one because it didn’t work. The second one only works if you hold the battery compartment cover, so it’s useless. I am returning mine for a full refund.
Agree with other reviews. This product is totally useless. It isn’t even a decent comb, much less taking out tangles or knots. It is a total rip off.
Having fallen for this bogus TV promotion, I bought a Knot Out from Publishers Clearing House. Fresh batteries in, correct configurations, attempts at alternative configurations: no power whatsoever!
