The Ninja Crispi DualZone is a large, dual-basket glass air fryer designed to cook two different foods at once, with separate controls for each side. It offers plenty of capacity and some genuinely useful features, but it also has a few limitations that took some trial and error to work around.

Ninja Crispi DualZone Review
The Ninja Crispi DualZone is essentially two Ninja Crispis combined into one large countertop appliance. It includes two 4-quart glass cooking containers for a total 8-quart capacity, with separate cooking zones that can run different temperatures, times, and cooking functions at the same time.
At about $350, this is not a small or lightweight appliance. My scaled showed it at 29.4 pounds, and it takes up a significant amount of counter space, so it is probably best suited for someone who expects to leave it out rather than constantly move it in and out of a cabinet. On the other hand, the size is one of its biggest strengths. It can handle a full meal for more than one person, or let you make a main dish and side dish at the same time.
There are six cooking functions, including Air Fry, Bake, Recrisp, and Max Crisp. You can use each side independently, and there are two main convenience features: Match Cook and Smart Finish. Match Cook copies the settings from one zone to the other, while Smart Finish staggers the cook times so both foods are supposed to finish at the same time.
Smart Finish worked well in some situations, particularly with the pizza dip and garlic knots, as well as salmon and broccoli. The garlic knots came out fluffy and nicely cooked, while the pizza dip was hot, cheesy, and satisfying. The salmon was especially impressive, coming out moist, flaky, and evenly cooked. The broccoli had a little browning while still retaining a slightly al dente texture.
However, Smart Finish is only as accurate as the cooking times you give it. My first batch of chicken nuggets was nowhere near done after the recommended Air Fry time, while the tater tots were finished properly. Switching the nuggets to Max Crisp got them cooked through and nicely browned, but it highlighted one of the unit’s major limitations: you cannot use Max Crisp in both zones at the same time.
You also can’t use Match Cook when Max Crisp is selected. That was not immediately obvious to me, and it is an important limitation considering that frozen foods are often where people may want the extra-crispy setting on both sides. I also found that the Max Crisp temperature appeared locked in at 450 degrees in at least one configuration, despite the cooking chart listing a different temperature.
Cooking burgers and fries showed both the strengths and weaknesses of the DualZone. The burgers cooked evenly, reached a safe internal temperature, and stayed reasonably juicy without splatter or constant babysitting. They did not develop the kind of crust I would expect from a skillet or grill, but they were still good. The fries took longer than expected and were somewhat inconsistent, with some coming out crispier than others.
That became a theme during testing: many foods prepared using standard Air Fry directions needed additional time beyond the listed recommendation. Fortunately, the unit has a convenient +1 Minute button, and you can press it repeatedly to add several minutes without resetting the cooking cycle. The appliance also gives flip notifications halfway through a cook cycle, which is useful for foods such as fries, nuggets, and tater tots. It’s also a useful reminder for stirring.
Cleanup is another positive. The glass containers, crisping trays, and lids all held up well through multiple dishwasher cycles. The containers did retain some trapped water underneath after washing, which may bother some people, but it did not appear to affect performance.
Overall, the Ninja Crispi DualZone is versatile, powerful, and capable of making full meals with relatively little mess. I like the large capacity, the ability to cook two foods in different ways at once, the dishwasher-safe components, and the convenience of Smart Finish when the cook times are dialed in correctly.
Still, this is not quite a plug-and-play appliance. It is heavy, expensive, and somewhat finicky. The different cooking times for one-zone versus two-zone use suggest that the appliance is sharing power between the sides, so you may need to experiment before getting consistently perfect results. The Max Crisp limitations are also worth knowing before buying.
For someone who wants the flexibility of two glass air fryers in one machine and has the counter space for it, the Ninja Crispi DualZone has a lot to offer. Just expect a learning curve, especially with frozen foods, recipes that rely on the Air Fry setting, and dialing in times for when you’re using one zone vs two.
