Pouch Couch Review
Pouch Couch is one of several inflatable hammocks to hit the market in recent months. Dare we say it is reaching “flood” status, with new brands showing up seemingly every week.
The idea is simple: Fill the tube-like material with air (see below), seal it off, and you have an instant, comfortable sofa wherever you are.
The good news is that these inflatable hammocks are comfortable and portable. They fold down to a fraction of their inflated size, and can be taken virtually anywhere. Once you get them filled with air, they can hold one or two adults quite easily, and provide a relaxing place to sit or nap.
What we feel is the biggest downside to this product – and others like it – is filling it with air. The commercial shows the couch being filled with ease, and if you are lucky enough to have a breeze in your vicinity, you should have no problem inflating it. If there is no wind, you may find yourself running with the open end held in the air in an attempt to fill it air. Once you do achieve a full couch, you have to quickly seal off the open end in order to keep air inside. There is definitely a learning curve involved.
Another problem is that these inflatables tend to slowly lose air, and it may not hold enough air to sleep in overnight.
As mentioned earlier, there are a number of other products on the market. Here at Freakin’ Reviews we have already looked at 6 Second Lounge and Go Lounge – which are indistinguishable from Pouch Couch. Gear Junkie states that the original in this category is Lamzac, while WindPouch sports a relatively positive rating among the category on Amazon.
Overall Pouch Couch and similar items do work pretty well once you figure out how to inflate them. They are certainly better than sitting on the ground or on a beach towel, although they could blow away on a very windy day. We recommend purchasing locally to avoid shipping costs and delays.

So if you are reading this, you are probably skeptical as I was about this product. I have honestly never used any as seen on tv products besides maybe slap chop and magic bullet, because I’m never really that impressed. But let me tell you, couch pouch does not disappoint. After I bought it I immediately tested it out in my apartment, realizing I would probably break something so I went outside. There are two chambers, and I pretty much ran with the pouch to fill both up. I was worried about it not being inflated enough, but there’s a… Read more »
I just got mine and I am still in the experimentation phase. I have not gotten it to fill up enough that me or my kids don’t sink to the bottom. How do you know when it fills up enough?
Man this crap does not work. I was at an outdoor event and was the only one sitting on the ground because I didn’t have a lawn chair like everyone else. Thinking couch pouch would be inflated. After watching the tutorial on YouTube a few times, and a stranger trying to help me. It would never fill up as it was advertised. We had a nice breeze and it still would not inflate. Not worth it. I’m sending it back.
I am having such a hard time with this. I just purchased The Couch Pouch Jr for my 6 year old son. I am sweating my face off trying to get it inflated in my livingroom (probably quite the site haha)….so I decided I’d try outside. Keep in mind it’s about 25°F and the wind is definitely whipping….but I still am having a hard time. This seemed like the perfect solution for my 6 year old who always plays Legos on a hard ground. I really hope I can get this figured out!!
