Hover Rocket Review

The idea of an inflatable toy that is meant to be thrown is about as old as humanity, and toy rockets date back decades. There have only been a handful of inflatable toy rockets, however, and Hover Rocket is the newest entrant in this niche category.

The idea is quite simple: Inflate this 6-foot tall rocket, and throw. With its aerodynamic design, Hover Rocket can soar up to 100 feet or more. How far it flies will depend on the strength and technique of the thrower, as well as factors such as wind.

Hover Rocket is an outdoor toy, and you probably won’t get a great trajectory if you try to throw it in the wind. Because it does not take much air to inflate, it is easy to take Hover Rocket with you on trips or to visit a friend and inflate after you’ve arrived.

It may be too cumbersome for smaller children to throw efficiently, but kids about 8 or older should have no problem tossing and catching a Hover Rocket.

Overall, if your kid likes to play catch or enjoys throwing-type toys, Hover Rocket will probably be a great purchase. The current price of about $20 for two rockets is reasonable based on competing products.

Hover Rocket is a new product, with its website and television commercial both appearing only in September 2016. Will it have the appeal to become a mainstay in the toy aisle? Only time will tell.

Hover Rocket is very similar to another product called Mega Rocket by Diggin. Both rockets are over 6 feet tall, inflate in seconds, and can be thrown over 100 feet.

A few months ago we reviewed a product called Rad Rocket that offered similar features to Hover Rocket, although that item disappeared quickly.
