I love to cook, and I’m always looking for ways to make it go a little faster. I also hate cleaning up a large amount of dishes. When I saw the “Stone Wave Microwave Cooker” advertised – which supposedly cuts your cooking time down significantly – I thought I’d give it a try.

I found Stone Wave Microwave Cooker (yes it is microwave only) at Bed, Bath & Beyond. Buying in person is more convenient than going to their website because I was eager to try this item out and didn’t want to wait a month to receive it.

My Review

I researched this item online before I bought it, and it does have mixed reviews. Personally, I had a good experience with it, and found it to be consistent with what I expected. I found the non-stick surface to be satisfactory. The only time I had came across a problem with it being sticky was with scrambled eggs, but I’d say it has worked well overall. The item was the size I had assumed it would be. Some reviewers expected the Stone Wave to be larger, so that was a major disappointment for them. I find that the Stone Wave comes in handy for small recipes, but it’s not big enough to make large portions. If you stay within the means of the product’s limitations, you should be a happy cooker. For $10 it seems like a pretty good deal to me. The only downfalls I came across is that the handle, at times, did get hot, and the lid always got hot. I also wished the recipe book had more recipes. I ultimately ended up enjoying the item and would recommend it to people who love to cook. It’s great for people who live by themselves or with a partner as it can be a great alternative to making an elaborate meal without a mess to clean up.

I would rate this item a 4 out of 5 stars. The item was consistent with its promises for small recipes. The minor issues, as stated above, were occasionally not being “non-stick” and the handle or lid being hot.
